Bookshop chains work in mysterious and somewhat slow ways but ‘Opportunity Dubai’ is now on sale at Magrudy’s in the Deira City Centre and Ibn Battuta Mall, and also through the Jashanmal network.
The book has been available since November 2nd in the UK, and Number One on the Telegraph Business Book Club bestseller list for the past two months!
Hopefully it will now prove popular in Dubai where Strategic Solutions is masterminding a PR campaign for the book.
Opportunity Dubai recounts the start-up through to multi-million dollar sale of AME Info, the leading UAE business website, and offers a modern economic history of Dubai, including two chapters on the real estate boom.
This makes interesting reading both for existing expatriates or anybody thinking of moving to Dubai. There are still opportunities even if they are less obvious than a few years ago.
Indeed, the author reminds readers just how inauspicious it seemed to start in the dot-com business at the time of the global dot-com crash, and yet it succeeded.
Dr Marc Faber then said that a recession was the best time to launch a business because if it could succeed under those conditions, it would blossom in good times. Opportunity Dubai provides plenty of food for thought and is also running high in the Amazon.co.uk charts for Entrepreneurship.
But if you want to buy this book locally look smart about it, there do not seem to be many copies in the country at the moment and the opportunity might just pass you by. Call the bookshop first to reserve a copy to avoid disappointment.
